The Newsletter Committee is going strong and so proud of the changes we’ve made to our monthly publication, Tucson Moms Link, this past year. Under the direction of our fabulous editor, Kimberly Kalil, we’ve brought in more contributors, more articles and more topics about what matters most to you as a parent, plus, we’ve added more pages and have created a new look! We’re always on the lookout for new voices and ideas – come be a part of us!
With the changes in membership options and all the fun events being planned this year, we’re going to be working harder than ever to spread the word about Tucson Moms to the community to make sure moms out there know all we have to offer them.
This summer and fall we’ll be distributing our brand new redesigned flyers to pediatrician offices, preschools, churches and other local businesses, and distributing notices to local newspapers since it has been some time since we have had a mention in a news source. We’re working on increasing our web presence also; getting linked to more mom and kid-based websites in town since we have a new and improved website ourselves and this can be used as way to introduce ourselves to potential new members as well. Lots of Moms spend time online searching for activities and things to do for their children, so our web site will be an important tool in letting Moms know we are here. We’ll also be actively seeking help from all our members since word of mouth is still the best recommendation we can get! Our brochures, cards and other materials are a great way for each mom to help get the word of Tucson Moms out to the community. Please contact us and we’ll make arrangements to get the materials to you.
The Social Committee has been off to a great start for the 2013 membership year! Our Family Movie Night in the Park in March is in the works and a Playgroup Picnic with a fun Valentines day cookie exchange is coming up Feb 14th. All so be on the lookout for more fun events coming in the next few months including MNO, Family Zoo days, visits to the Tucson Children’s Museum and Pump It Up and Family Park days. If you have an idea or are interested in helping us out with a little planning, please contact us.
