Board of Directors Meeting, October 12
We would also like to invite you to our fall board meeting being held on October 12 at 7 pm in the community room at the Bookmans at Grant and Campbell. Come learn more about Tucson Moms and share you r opinions. Just know that only members of the Board, who are elected at the February meeting, can vote on issues. Playgroup Picnic, November 18
Join us for a city-wide playgroup playgroup at the playground at Brandi Fenton park from 10 am to 12 pm to play and meet other playgroups. This is a great way to enjoy camaraderie with all of Tucson Moms. Don’t have a playgroup? This is a great opportunity to find one or learn how to help a new playgroup get started.
Evening at the Children’s Museum and Holiday Giving Event, December 2
Enjoy this exclusive engagement as the Children’s Museum opens it doors only to Tucson Moms members from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm. In addition to enjoying the museum we will also be holding our silent auction to raise money to help needy families in the Tucson area. And we will have snacks, beverages, and fun!
New Playgroups
We have had a few playgroup changes take place recently. Multiple Madness is a group for families with multiples that meets monthly. This is a chance for mothers with multiples of all ages to connect with one another. Contact playgroup leader Jessica Willock at JWillock1979@gmail.com for more information.
Foothills ’10 is a new group located in the Foothills/Northeast Tucson area. They will be meeting on Mondays from 2:00-4:00 PM at members’ homes, parks, and local attractions for fun with our little ones. Contact playgroup leader Lori Lundberg at lalundberg@yahoo.com to sign up for Monday’s meeting or to get more information about this new playgroup!

Social Committee
Thank you so much to all the families that joined us at our Family Zoo Day on September 24! It was a great day connecting with other families and enjoying the zoo!
Right now our Social Committee is very busy planning our city-wide Moms Night Out. We also have our Movie in the Park event coming up. We always welcome help with the organizing, planning, set up, and clean up for events. If you want to help with events that bring our organization together, join the Social Committee.
Community Involvement Committee
The Community Involvement Committee has put together a diaper drive for the Diaper Bank of Southern Arizona as part of our upcoming Moms Night Out. We are also planning our annual Holiday Giving Event that takes place during our Evening at the Children’s Museum on December 2. This is a great opportunity for Tucson Moms to give back to the community and help others. If you would like to be part of our charity efforts, join the Community Involvement Committee.
Outreach Committee
We have been busy spreading the word about Tucson Moms. Recently we have had tables at the Just Between Friends sale, the Gladden Farms Kids Fair, and SpouseBUZZ at Davis Monthan AFB. Our Outreach Committee has also been distributing brochures to doctors offices, stores, community centers, and other parent friendly locations. If you want to help share Tucson Moms with other moms looking for friendship and support, join the Outreach Committee.
Volunteer Positions
Come keep your job skills relevant, have fun, meet more moms, and get involved. Regardless of whether you’ve been a member for years or just joined recently, you have so much to offer. Whether you become a playgroup leader, help out occasionally on a committee, or take on a more regular role, you are helping Tucson Moms continue to thrive and grow!
